Cookie Policy
Last updated: April 16, 2026
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files that websites store on a user’s device (computer, tablet, smartphone) during browsing. They are widely used to make websites work, improve their efficiency, and provide information to site operators.
In addition to traditional cookies, this policy also covers other local storage technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage, which fall within the scope of Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) as tools that allow the storage of information or access to information already stored on the user’s terminal equipment.
This Cookie Policy is drafted in compliance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR), ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC, and the Italian Data Protection Authority’s Provision of June 10, 2021, No. 231 (“Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools”).
2. Necessary cookies (always active)
These cookies and storage technologies are essential for the operation of the website and cannot be disabled. They are set in response to actions taken by the user, such as configuring privacy preferences, logging into an account, or filling out forms. They do not require user consent under Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, as they are strictly necessary for the provision of the service.

| mfa_trusted | Cookie (HttpOnly) | 30 days | Identifies trusted devices for two-factor authentication, avoiding code requests at every login. |
| td_consent | Cookie | 180 days | Stores the user’s cookie consent preferences. The 180-day (6-month) duration complies with the Italian Data Protection Authority’s guidelines. |
| device_fp | localStorage | Persistent | Device fingerprint used for account security and to control the maximum number of authorized devices. |
| _arole | localStorage | Persistent | User role cache, used to exclude administrators from statistical tracking. |
Note on reCAPTCHA v3: Trading Dojo uses Google reCAPTCHA v3 to protect the site from automated access and abuse. reCAPTCHA may collect technical data (IP address, browsing behavior) necessary for its operation. This is a security measure and not a profiling cookie. For more information, please refer to Google’s Privacy Policy.
3. Analytics cookies (require consent)
These storage tools are activated only after obtaining the user’s explicit consent through the cookie banner. They help us understand how visitors interact with the site by collecting completely anonymous information.
Important: our analytics system is entirely internal. Statistical data is stored in our database (Supabase) and is not shared with third parties in any way. We do not use Google Analytics or any other external analytics services.
| Name | Type | Duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| _av | localStorage | Persistent | Anonymous visitor identifier used for internal traffic statistics. It cannot be traced back to the user’s identity. |
| _as | sessionStorage | Session | Anonymous session identifier for the current session, used to aggregate browsing statistics. |
| _autm | sessionStorage | Session | Stores UTM parameters (source, medium, campaign) for the current visit to analyze campaign effectiveness. |
4. Marketing cookies
Trading Dojo currently does not use marketing or profiling cookies. The category is present in the consent banner for transparency and to enable proactive management should they be introduced in the future.
If marketing cookies are introduced, this policy will be updated and new consent will be requested from users.
5. How to manage your preferences
Users can manage their cookie preferences at any time through:
- Cookie banner: on the first visit to the site, a banner is displayed allowing users to accept or reject individual cookie categories.
- Privacy button: the button located at the bottom left of every page allows users to reopen the preferences panel and change their choices at any time.
- Browser settings: most browsers allow cookie control through their settings. Please note that blocking all cookies may impair the website’s functionality.
Consent has a duration of 180 days (6 months), as required by the Italian Data Protection Authority’s Provision of June 10, 2021. When it expires, the banner will be displayed again to allow users to renew or change their preferences.
Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent given prior to withdrawal.
6. Changes to this Cookie Policy
Trading Dojo reserves the right to modify this Cookie Policy at any time. Changes will be published on this page with an updated last modified date.
In the event of substantial changes involving new cookie categories or new processing purposes, new consent will be requested from users through the cookie banner.
We recommend periodically checking this page to stay informed about any updates.
